Florence is going through a bit of an unsettled period again the last few days and seems to have forgotten how to stay asleep or developed a phobia of her cot. She is certainly testing the limits of our patience, so it's lucky she's so damn cute! Unfortunately this has coincided with Ash now leaving for a conference for 4 whole days so it is just Florence and I alone! We had another battle this morning getting her down for her first nap so tonight the sleep book has come out again! Actually it seems my first attempt at teaching self settling is going quite well. 7.30pm and it would seem Florence is asleep, much better than 10.30pm last night! Let's see if it lasts though ... Ah, the joys of parenting, guess we've been pretty lucky so far !!
In other news, Florence is officially an Oompa Loompa, weighing in at 5.5kg! That's 900g gain in 2.5 weeks ... If I were to gain the same % of my weight I would gain about 15kg in that time!

Florence's new playmat (thanks Ma and Grandpa Gary!) Hmmm, now that I think about it, maybe this unsettled time started when the mat arrived. Maybe she's having nightmares about hovering toucans!
Oh Florence you are so cute & we haven't even meet you, we were telling 15 Pelicans swimming on the Nicholson river today that you are going to fly like them to have a picnic with them....I think we have told all humans about you so now Granny & Pa are telling the birds about you....be sleepy for your mummy & daddy...hugs & xxxx..
